Program Launch: Ankara-Infused Paper Making with CESAPH
Project Overview
The Giving Exchange is excited to launch a new project with a new partnership in a new country!
Cercle des Educateurs Spécialisés Amis de la Personne Handicapée (CESAPH) is all about empowering people with disabilities by giving them opportunities to earn a steady income. Many of the disabled women they serve face stigma, but through this program, they’ll gain confidence, skills, and the ability to support themselves and their families.
In this new project, CESAOH and TGE are giving 19 women with disabilities the chance to learn tailoring and earn a living. With sewing machines and training, these women will be able to create and sell their own designs, make school uniforms, and tap into local markets. This goal of this project, in line with TGE’s mission, is for the beneficiaries to gain financial independence and be active and productive members of their communities.
Project Measurements
To track success, we’ll look at:
● How many women complete the training and become skilled in sewing.
● The number of participants using their skills to make money.
● The increase in income among the women.
● Their average monthly savings.
The Giving Exchange is proud to support women with disabilities in Burundi with the chance to build a better, independent future for themselves and their families.
