The Giving Exchange partners with under-resourced communities to implement self-sustaining projects for a lasting impact.
We dream of a world where children have every opportunity to build their best future; where all needs for education, health and livelihood are met by locally-grown resources; and where communities are implementing the solutions they need to make life better for themselves and for generations to come.
How we are making it happen
Individuals apply to The Giving Exchange for financial backing to an income-generating project idea or solution they have engineered to an issue they are confronting in their community.
For example, in 2023, The Giving Exchange invested $181,000 in twelve unique projects – from Oyster Mushroom Farming, to Black Soldier Fly Larvae Animal Feed Production, to Vocational Training for Teenage Mothers in Crisis.
Each of these projects helps the community or home to become self-sufficient and create generational change in the fight for social and economic justice.
The Giving Exchange provides support every step of the way, from planning, budgeting, and training, to implementation, metrics and evaluation, resulting in successful projects and lasting impact.
