In Kasese, Uganda, the Inspire Girls Foundation (IGF) has a mission to empower women with invaluable skills, nurturing self-reliance and entrepreneurship. Rooted in the belief that sharing essential skills can trigger profound changes, IGF, in partnership with The Giving Exchange (TGE), strives to be the catalyst for lasting impact in their community.

Since The Giving Exchange first partnered with IGF in 2022, we have witnessed notable progress, and in 2023, our donors funded the purchase of new soap molds, soap branding stamps, and sewing machines for the youth program.
Success, as it does, brought its own set of challenges, with competitors entering the market. Undeterred, IGF saw this as an opportunity to refine strategies. The quarterly evaluation report emphasized the need for IGF to boost production while enhancing product quality.
With steadfast support from TGE, IGF trained an additional 28 women in soap-making and 68 in tailoring in 2023. Additional soap-making machines played a pivotal role, doubling monthly production per group and meeting the escalating demand. This newfound efficiency not only increased profits but also opened doors to explore new markets.
Weekly soap profits soared, witnessing an impressive average increase of 64,000 Ugandan Shillings. This reflected the growing demand for IGF's high-quality soap and underscored the economic viability of the skills imparted through their programs.
Determined to overcome challenges, IGF is focused on expanding production and elevating product quality. Additional sewing machines empower more women, creating a ripple effect beyond individual success to benefit families and the broader community.
